M AI° is equipped with a 1.37kW DC-type spindle from the renowned German spindle manufacturer, SycoTec. Compared to AC spindles, DC-type spindles offer several advantages, including precise speed and torque control, fast response times, and exceptional durability. In particular, they provide stable control at low speeds, making them an essential component for small-scale equipment and applications requiring precision control. The 1.37kW DC spindle in M AI° delivers higher torque output than equivalent AC-type spindles, achieving performance comparable to that of a 2.2kW AC-type spindle.
